This week has officially marked the end of what I consider to be "Alex's baby chapter." He's moving forward at lighting speed. In the last week he:
- stopped taking the bottle and only drinks out of sippy cups
- stopped taking formula and is only drinking whole milk and water
- stopped taking milk before his nap/bed times - oh, I miss those snuggle times
- started standing on his own for several seconds at a time
- took his first steps. July 22 – he was exactly one year and two weeks old; you could just tell that he was so proud. I choked up.
Watch out toddler-hood. Here we come!

Oh how fun! It is bitter sweet though. It's so hard to say goodbye to those baby days but you are going to have a blast with your new toddler. And very busy now that he is walking!!! How exciting. :-) Enjoy every moment of this new stage.
A new chapter begins, indeed! What an exciting time for you guys. Still can't believe he is old enough to be a toddler now! I can't wait until he is walking all over, it won't be long.
Oh I know, just have baby #2 and you can be right back in the baby phase and not even miss it! haha :)
He is growing up fast! Cute as a button!
WOOO HOOOO first steps!! Way to go Alex!Griffin is off formula too and to be honest, I think he would be okay without his bottles but I am not sure I would be. That nighttime bottle is my only snuggle time when I am at work during the week. I think I might have to keep it around a little longer... Probably won't cause any permanent damage, right? ;0)
Oh girl, you know I completely understand this transition you're going through!! Something about calling our babies "toddlers" just doesn't feel right at ALL!! We haven't given up the milk bottles yet; I'm hanging on for dear life, ha!
Yay for Alex for taking his first steps! I bet he is one of those that will never look back and will be running before you know it. I can't wait to hear how you are loving watching him toddle all over the place. A whole new world awaits him!
And he stands so straight and tall.......ohhhh!
