Life these days {in a photo dump}

I barely have time to open my computer these days, let alone do all of the blog posts I'd like to. But here are a few pics that tell the story of what we've been up to these days.

July 4th Weekend.
IMG_1537
Our fourth of July weekend started out here. Blue Collar Joe's donut shop - specializing in gourmet donuts, it's a good 20 minute drive from our house and was a new adventure to us.

Our donut selection: glazed blueberry, cinnamon, m&m with pink glaze, red white & blueberry, turtle (my personal favorite), and chocolate with oreo

We got to eat our donuts in their little patio dining area.

YUM!

Decked out in our $5 old navy wear. We went to Lexington, VA for the 4th.

Alex at the Lexington visitor's center. He's working out our agenda for the day.
IMG_1771
Our agenda included a horse-drawn carriage ride - which he liked for about 10 minutes, but not the 45 that it lasted.

Can't remember the significance of this house, but it sure is beautiful.

We didn't eat here, but next time I'm going to vote for this to be on the agenda. Who wouldn't want to eat at A Joyful Spirit Cafe? What a wonderful name!

We did eat here, however. Best cookies 'n cream you've ever tasted.

One of the buildings in Lexington. Isn't this brickwork gorgeous?

Stonewall Jackson's house. We also got to see Robert E. Lee's house, but I didn't get a photo. Next time...
Cow Appreciation Day at Moo-Moo's. (Also, Alex's birthday dinner request. Besides cake, that is, which was his primary request.)

Andrew CAD 2011

More to come in the days ahead.

Seeing this is the perfect end to my day. I love all the pictures and the stories they convey with very few words. Precious boys!! Give them a squeeze for me! (Those donuts look divine and definitely worth the drive!)

I know a "photo dump" isn't your usual style of blogging, but I LOVE seeing all these pictures and reading what you've been up to!! What fun! I really love the family 4th of July picture - it's such a great glimpse into your family right now and you are all too cute in your matching shirts. I also love LM's patriotic swimsuit!!

Andrew is just as precious as ever but still looks so small in those pictures. Oh, those sweet little toes!! Sure wish I could get my hands on him. :-)

Love and miss you girl!

I love seeing updates of your family of four. Andrew seems to be filling out nicely. Though he's still so tiny and sweet. He is absolutely precious in his cow outfit.

Alex seems to be growing up too in his baseball hat. Reminds me of his daddy.

Looks like you guys had a nice fourth. Glad to see you are getting out, making some fun memories! Hope you are managing ok. Miss you.

Ps. Sorry it has taken so long to comment. I'm having to do it on my phone.
